Your life is a vast empty page!

“I saw that my life was a vast glowing empty page and I could do anything I wanted.” – Jack Kerouac

This quote really sums up where my head is at these days. I wrote last week that I felt like the new year was charged and alive with consequence. The current astrological energies support that vibration on both personal and global levels, are you feeling it too?

Given the current planetary influences, it makes complete sense that I’m personally moved to examine the bigger picture of my life and that the human collective is too. With the approaching a full moon and lunar eclipse in Cancer on Friday, and Saturn (the planet of change and order) and Pluto (the planet of transformation/releasing buried power or core truths) coming together in Capricorn we’ve got one doozy of a week ahead.

If you’re paying attention, you’re feeling the effects on a personal level and seeing them in your external world; at work/relationships/community/geo-political sphere.
Our very own C.A. Brooks wrote a brilliant column in Mark’s Power Peek about how these influences work, and what to expect. There is a good deal of significance to what’s at play. It’s intense, challenging, and ultimately a catalyst for profound and lasting change, if we flow with it. (Don’t fly into the wind, little bird, change course and let the wind lift you).

I encourage you to avoid petty drama, put all of your crap management skills to use and stride right toward the oncoming catharsis. Do not shrink away – now is the time to dive headlong into making the shift that this rare and unprecedented astro is gifting us all with. If you stay grounded in your core values, meditate, practice self-care, sleep well, hydrate, fuel up with nourishing, sustaining foods, you can come through this with some genius breakthroughs.

It might feel scary, as though your safety and very essence are being threatened, but I can assure you that the only things that will fall away are the things you will feel so much lighter for having the courage to let go of. We cannot carry anything sub-optimal through this transit. It’s a battle, but it’s a battle we can win if we zoom out to see the big picture (personally and globally), without being overwhelmed by the enormity of the possibilities.

I invite you to join me in considering how we can conspire with life to create the best possible futures for ourselves.

The following quote has been floating around the internet for a few years, but it feels prescient and predictive with the current vibe:

“2020: we’re hydrated, having good sex with people who deserve us, eating
veggies, hiking, leaving behind toxic relationships, communicating our
feelings, saying no, respecting the planet and the animals on it, spoiling
ourselves with love, and smashing the patriarchy.”

—Candace Reels, the Female Collective

I also love this quote:

“Every minute of every hour of every day you are making the world, just
as you are making yourself, and you might as well do it with generosity
and kindness and style.”

—Rebecca Solnit
